Dark fantasy soundscapes have long been a passion of mine, 15-20 years ago I released 8 full length albums in the genre with a collaborative project named Za Frûmi before it disbanded. But I never stopped producing the genre, in the shadows of my other projects I was creating dark fantasy worlds, in both writing, art and music but never had an outlet for releasing it. Too melodic for Cryo Chamber, but also too soundscapey to be considered Traditional World or Folk.
Over the years I started talking about it with my friends on Cryo Chamber, many of them also produced in this genre like Gdanian (Tales under the Oak) or Kammarheit (Aindulmedir) and they gave me advice on starting up a new label, a Dark Fantasy (or as they say these days, Dungeon Synth) label with a similar atmospheric focus as with Cryo Chamber.
