Steve Roach News

Catching up with Steve Roach:

September 28, 2008 Coming late November on Projekt: STREAM OF THOUGHT. This is one of those releases that comes along every now and then where all the elements merge in alignment and a kind of magical sonic-musical alchemy occurs, taking the listening experience to a whole other level — the kind of experience where when it’s over, you immediately want to hit Play again.

September 20, 2008 Steve just completed an informative interview with Bert Strolenberg in the Netherlands for the Sonic Immersion web site. Covered in the interview is info on Steve’s new releases including the collabration with Erik Wøllo, the short-lived Master Class program, thoughts on his recent releases and a lot more.

August 23, 2008 A new book about synth music icon Klaus Schulze is just out. This sizable book by überfan Greg Allen is loaded with photos, album reviews and many interesting interviews with artists who have worked with Klaus or have been inspired by his works over the years. An interview with Steve is featured at the end of the book.

July 26, 2008 A new 2-CD Collectors Edition of EMPETUS is now available, on sale at a special price of $13.99! Any fan of sequencer-based pieces will not want to miss out on the bonus disc (“The Early Years”) with two amazing never-before-released pieces of long-form sequencer bliss recorded circa 1982: “Harmonia Mundi” was recorded live in the L.A.-based Timeroom with Swiss-born electronic musician Thomas Ronkin. At 45 minutes, this is one of the more possessed and intense analog sequencer trance pieces you’re likely to hear. “Release” is a 24-minute solo statement of emotion and energy.

July 15, 2008 Steve’s video KAIROS will be featured at the Paradigms Film Festival in Portugal, August 11th – 18th.

June 25, 2008 Our beautiful and understated “A Deeper Silence” t-shirts are now in stock.

June 25, 2008 Steve’s 20th Timeroom Editions release, LANDMASS, is now available!
