Coming to Detroit’s Trinosophes

Source: trinosophes.

Sunday, May 28
Dave Rempis and Tyler Damon
with special guest Skeeter Shelton’s Spectrum 3
Doors open at 7:30 pm | $10 minimum donation, $20 front row

Improvised music stalwarts Dave Rempis (winds) and Tyler Damon (percussion) return to Trinosophes to wrap up their Midwest duo tour. No strangers to our series, they have worked with figures of improvised and creative music like Joe McPhee, Toshi Dori, Josh Abrams, Peter Brötzmann, Jamie Branch, Nels Cline and countless others. Rempis also is highly active in facilitating and promoting shows in Chicago, including a weekly improvised music series at Elastic Arts, where he serves as board president.

Detroit’s Spectrum 3 is also heading out on tour next week and they’ve joined the bill to get warmed up for travel. Please note that although Rempis/Damon are the evening’s featured artists, they will open show, as they need to drive back to Chicago the same evening.

Upcoming performances from 2-3pm on Thursdays:
June 1: Jaime Lutzo and Andrew Blake
June 22: Sophiyah E. & Otodjo
June 29: Dean Western

COMING SOON

June 18: Teiku
July 14: Keefe Jackson / Jakob Heinemann / Adam Shead with 11th Hour Quartet
