Dal Niente to Perform Works by Stanford University Composers in Chicago

1490 Chicago Ave, Evanston, IL 60201CHICAGO: on April 7, Ensemble Dal Niente will present works by Stanford University graduate composers in a free-to-the-public evening program at Nichols Hall, followed by a reception. The concert will feature five world premieres for large ensemble, and marks the culmination of a week-long residency between Dal Niente and the Stanford music department.
The concert includes works by sound artist Clara Allison and multi-media experimentalist Julie Zhu; Iranian electro-acoustic composer Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi; Brazilian composer and musicologist Tatiana Canzaro; Irish sound artist Seán Ó Dálaigh; and composer Utku Asuroglu, whose energetic music was first performed by Dal Niente in 2018.
