SUSS, the NYC trio known as pioneers of a musical genre they call “Ambient Country,” is staging a four night concert series at Culture Lab LIC that will feature all four sides of their latest double LP, simply titled “SUSS.” Using classic Americana instrumentation as well as loops and electronics, the band creates vivid ambient music that evokes the vastness of America from a uniquely urban perspective. PopMatters cited the album as one of the Best Ambient Albums of 2022, going on to say that “SUSS continues to be not only the kingpins of country ambient, but also one the best bands working today.”
