Forest Fest brings the NYC/San Diego-based collective percussion quintet The Forest (Gustavo Aguilar, Leah Bowden, Andrew Drury, Lesley Mok, Michael Wimberly) to Seattle for two nights of sonic exploration with percussionist Bonnie Whiting, clarinetist James Falzone, and the UW Percussion Ensemble.

Lori Goldston performs Sharp Edges, a new cycle of songs about ancestry for cello and various instruments.

Brian Fergus + Rob Angus
Sat. April 9, 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door
Portland-based Brian Fergus merges ukulele with electronics, presenting solo arrangements of Florian Fricke’s music for Werner Herzog’s films Aguirre, the Wrath of God, Heart of Glass, and Nosferatu. Seattle electronic music ace Rob Angus performs music for Mirage sampling keyboards, loopers, and digital processing.u
