The Tom’s Place winter season winds up on Friday March 4 with two great local trios, both with piano. First up will be Ron Heglin (low brass), Tim Perkis (electronics) and Ric Louchard (piano).
The second set will feature Lisa Mezzacappa (bass), Kjell Nordeson (percussion) and Scott R Looney (piano and electronics).

Other Minds is pleased to welcome back Maki Namekawa and Dennis Russell Davies for a recital of solo and piano four-hands music with real-time interactive projections by Cori O’Lan at Hertz Hall in Berkeley, Saturday, March 5, 2022. The centerpiece of this recital will be the U.S. premiere of Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird suite arranged for piano four hands by Dennis Russell Davies in 2015.

Doors That Only Open in Silence (open participation, non-hierarchical workshop in free improvisation)
The monthly series of improvisation research at Temescal Arts Center continues. Bring your instrument or come to listen. No advance notice needed — just show up. Small groups will be randomly assembled from submitted names immediately before each group plays. We try to keep transition time between groups at a minimum. Over by 10pm. Donations for the venue rental are encouraged.
