Featuring the music of Eric Dolphy, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sun Ra and live performances by Horace Tapscott’s Pan African People’s Arkestra, Larry Clark’s PASSING THROUGH “theorizes that jazz is one of the purest expressions of African American culture, now hijacked by a white culture that brutally exploits musicians for profit. “An invaluable film-outcry” (Albert Johnson).

An evening with Bjll Dingalls and Heule/Nishi-Smith/Rivero. Swinging serious sonic sledgehammers for a threefold lifetime now, Bjll Dingalls (Tom Djll, Bill Hsu, and Matt Ingalls) lay the railroad into terra incognita. Jacob Felix Heule is an improvising percussionist with a special interest in friction techniques. Kanoko Nishi-Smith performs contemporary compositions and improvises on piano and koto. Danishta Rivero is a vocalist who performs on electronics and the Hydrophonium, a water-based electro-acoustic percussion instrument she created.
