Diane Grubbe performs 20th and 21st Century works for flutes by Mario Lavista, Andrew M. Rodriguez, Orlando Jacinto Garciá and Miguel del Águila. The concert will include a discussion with Mr. Rodriguez about his work, “Highways,” for flute with glissando headjoint.

Pianist-composer Jared Redmond returns to the Center for New Music, performing a program of contemporary works for piano including music by Beat Furrer, Wolfgang Rihm, Kaija Saariaho, Elliott Carter, and the US premiere of Sebastian Claren’s “Sex” (1996).
