As the only BIPOC founded, curated and produced string summit of its kind, CJSS amplifies the development of new, 21st c. music informed by jazz, creative-improvisation and experimentation, and pioneered by Stuff Smith, Abdul Wadud, Michael White, Billy Bang and other notable string players. CJSS brings new audiences to the global community of 21st c. string players who are expanding the boundaries of artistic expression.
