AFA On_Line Salon Series
Fridays on Zoom
Friday May 1, at 7pm ET
Featuring Tony Malaby, Angelica Sanchez, and surprise guest in performance and conversation
Register to attend and donate to support performer fees:

Arts For Art has responded to the COVID-19 crisis by going into our archives to edit and release video of special performances, bright moments from our 25 year history, called Screening Vision, three times per week. These archives include performances from Vision Festivals, Evolving Series, Salons, panel discussions, and more. The performances highlight our embrace of music, dance, poetry and visual art as expressions of FreeJazz for a Just World.

AFA will launch the On_Line Salon Series this Friday, May 1 on Zoom. It will feature saxophonist Tony Malaby and pianist Angelica Sanchez with a short appearance by a surprise guest. The performance will be followed by a conversation between host Patricia Nicholson and the performers, and will conclude with an open Q&A. The concert is free, but we encourage donations to help fund performer fees.

We have also begun the AFA Artist Diaries series on Facebook and Instagram. The series features short video submissions by AFA artists highlighting different aspects of their creativity. Each one is quite unique as are the artists themselves.
