The second annual Women From Space Festival is happening March 5th-8th, 2020 and they’re collaborating on the final CMC Presents event of the season. The show features the lyrical-textural pedal steel innovator Susan Alcorn, Amy Brandon whose compositions present rich worlds of colour using nylon string guitar and electronics, brilliant harpist and recent addition to the elsewhere roster Elisa Thorn, and the genre-defying pianist, composer and sound-designer Yunjin Claire Lee—who bounds effortlessly between mirage-like abstraction and an idiosyncratic jazz-adjacent keyboard approach.

This year’s festival also includes the likes of: Olivia Shortt, Alaska B, Pantayo, Anne Bourne, co-founder Bea Labikova in a trio with Germaine Liu and William Parker, as well as her counterpart Kayla Milmine in duo with Sam Newsome. Visit them here:
