JENNIFER KOH & DAVÓNE TINES: EVERYTHING THAT RISES MUST CONVERGE | MUSIC MONDAYS
Violinist Jennifer Koh partners with bass-baritone Davóne Tines for a new program entitled Everything That Rises Must Converge, an exploration of parallels in their family histories, told through music. The program features music for violin and voice by J. S. Bach, Gustav Holst, Julia Wolfe, Missy Mazzoli, Andrew Norman, traditional hymns and songs, and a world premiere by Du Yun.

ESSENTIAL REPERTOIRE: THE MUSIC OF SYLVANO BUSSOTTI
As part of Brooklyn’s mercurial Darmstadt series, the composer and pianist Luciano Chessa has organized an evening of Sylvano Bussotti’s music with two fellow longtime Bussotti collaborators: cellist Frances-Marie Uitti and bass-baritone Nicholas Isherwood. The program will feature realizations of some of Bussotti’s graphic scores, from Sette Fogli to Fogli d’Album to Autotono, and will include the NYC premiere of Bussotti’s Variazioni Chessa (2011).
