On November 25, Brooklyn-based Loop 2.4.3 and DMV’s Fanoplane will perform at Arlington’s iconic Galaxy Hut, which is located at 2711 Wilson Blvd. Although the venue opens at 5pm, “doors” for the performance are at 9pm. It’s a 21+ venue; the $5 door goes 100% to the musicians!
Loop 2.4.3 is a Brooklyn-based “open format”, collaborative ensemble, led by composer/performer Thomas Kozumplik. The ensemble has a bent for exploring the vast musical possibilities of percussion instruments, inspired by an artistic coming-of-age in room 243…
Fanoplane‘s performances are unscored, unrehearsed and improvised extemporaneously on the spot. The ensemble’s seed was planted in a duo performance by NPR’s Bob Boilen and Ted Zook. Following that, Bob sat in for a couple of performances with the Lost Civilizations experimental music project, then several performances with Heterodyne. Because each performance is unique, links to all of Fanoplane’s performances are posted for free download on its website.
