A twin bill of jazz groups comes to Art Boutiki
Headlining will be Shay Salhov with his always inventive Quartet, this time featuring Dahveed Behroozi , Nick Panoutsos and Jason Lewis.
Opening the night will be a quartet put together by NYC based piano player Alon Nechushtan. All About Jazz magazine called Alon “A fantastic pianist-composer with abundant chemistry and boundless eclectisism”, while DownBeat Magazine recognizes “A talent to watch, with a surfeit of ideas, an unbridled spirit and bold,two-fisted sense of Architecture. Backing up Alon will be Tyler Harlow and Dillon Vado of Never Weather fame.

Led by guitarist John Shiurba assembled to interpret his music and somniloquy. The lyrics are culled from the early-morning, half-asleep ramblings of the composer, while the music employs the signature January Scale.
