ALBUM RELEASE SHOW FOR ISAAC SCHANKLER’S BECAUSE PATTERNS Saturday, July 20, 2019
SPECTRUM presents the New York album release show for Because Patterns from L.A.-based composer Isaac Schankler out on Aerocade Music. Because Patterns positions the listener within three distinct sonic environments. Each work demonstrates a deft integration of acoustic performance and electronic construction, the substance of the music abiding in the relationship between performer and program. Featured performers on the release are the Ray-Kallay Duo of pianists Vicki Ray and Aron Kallay;bassist Scott Worthington; violinist Sakura Tsai; and pianist Nadia Shpachenko.
Isaac Schankler will be joined by pianist Kathleen Supové and bassist James Ilgenfritz to celebrate this release with live performances on Saturday, July 20th at 7pm. Special 12” color vinyl copies of Because Patterns will be available for purchase.
