Every month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded presenters and artists offer ten concerts of adventurous music in an informal yet respectful all-ages setting: contemporary classical, free improvisation, the outer limits of jazz, electronic music, microtonal/new instruments, sound art, and other extraordinary sonic experiences.

Lu Evers: Solo Clarinet

A last-minute booking for this week! Veteran clarinetist Lu Evers presents a solo program that will feature many of Evers’ original compositions that explore a variety of song forms, as well as the textures and shapes of improvisation, and the space of thought and feeling.

Thu. 5/30 – electronic music by Karl Fousek + Norm Chambers + RM Francis

Fri. 5/31 – Inverted Space Ensemble performs music by Michael Finnesey, Ben Johnston, Dan Joseph, and James Tenney

Sat. 6/1 – Kin of the Moon: Wander & Wail – guest soprano Emily Thorner joins Heather Bentley, Kaley Lane Eaton and Leanna Keith in premiering Eaton’s FUNERAL SENTENCES FOR DAMAGED CELLS and Keith’s Concerto for Tea Ceremony, and Crow
