In keeping with Peter’s restless creativity, this festival covers a broad sonic range. First-time collaborations with Matana Roberts and Camille Emaille sit alongside alongside long-term collaborations going back over half a century. Some of these all-time classic groupings have never happened at OTO before, such as Peter’s longstanding duo with Han Bennink that spawned the seminal Ein Halber Hund Kann Nicht Pinkeln and Schwarzwaldfahrt LPs (now both over 40 years old) and his classic trio with Han and Alexander von Schlippenbach. We’re also pleased to be able to revisit fertile collaborations that first occurred at OTO; Pat Thomas having been invited to perform with Peter at his first ever shows here.
