Hudson Valley Vinyl will present a live, in-store performance the legendary multi-instrumentalist Joe McPhee, performing in a duo with the veteran guitarist Billy Stein. Many rare recordings will be available for sale. Joe McPhee and Billy Stein will perform on Saturday, December 16 from 7 to 9 PM. Admission is free.
On Sunday December 3rd, a visiting French painter named Mathias Duhamel (mathiasduhamel.com) will be doing live improvised paintings alongside two improvising musical duos. The first is Sam Day Harmet (mandolin, electronics) and Sana Nagano (violin, electronics). The second is Jon Irabagon (sax) and Jeff Lederer (sax). We’ll be playing at HØLØ in Ridgewood, 1099 Wyckoff Ave. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. Tickets $10 at the door or in advance at mathiasduhamel.mapado.com/en.
