Since Tim Berne first emerged on New York’s roiling Downtown scene in the late 1970s the alto saxophonist has created one galvanizing ensemble after another. In recent years his primary vehicle has been Snakeoil, introduced on an acclaimed self-named 2012 quartet session for ECM.

Eric Glick Rieman works with composition in an area that embraces graphic scores and more traditional techniques in the Experimental Music continuum. To make the patterns of his scores, he has worked with animals such as snails and cats. He also just makes stuff up.

Ehnahre: The Marrow, with Kyle Bruckmann and Friends
The Boston based extreme new music ensemble Ehnahre, “draws forth the extreme quality of metal but also pushes it in different directions: extreme restiveness, but also extreme stasis, extreme haziness…switching between shadowy warmth and carpet-bomb assault…” (Matthew Guirrieri, New Music Box). Currently on tour in support of The Marrow, their most adventurous record to date, the group will be appearing with core members Ryan Mcguire (vocals, contrabass), Richard Chowenhill (guitars), and Joshua Carro (percussion, electronics).

Isaac Pond will be unveiling his unique percussive invention that utilizes air, water and motion to manipulate sound in a unique way. The concert will feature Isaac Pond playing his invention along with guest appearances by members of KingKongzilla, accompanying percussion and Bansuri flute by Aharon Wheels Bolsta.
