Live Composing Festival at Nublu

A live composing festival takes place in early June at NY’s Nublu.

For three nights, Nublu celebrates the diverse ways that composers use gesture-based languages to create vibrant, intense, immediate work. Featuring Soundpainting founder Walter Thompson, some of the foremost practitioners of Butch Morris‘s Conduction system, and many others, this is the first time such a wide spectrum of the live composing community has been together in one place. Note the festival will be taking place at the original Nublu (62 Ave C), Butch Morris’s spiritual home for many years. $15 suggested donation each night. All proceeds go directly to the artists.
