On January 16, the Lost Civilizations experimental music project returns to its residency at Dew Drop Inn DC for an evening featuring a solo set by Mussa.
Mussa performs a mesmerizing solo show filled with live loops, harmonies and original compositions from the new release ‘AMbassadors of Morning – SO FAR’ and more. Mussa is a BMI recording artist with touring experience on both coasts performing with acts such as The Roots, Eryka Badu, Femi Kuti and more.
The Lost Civilizations experimental music project is a collaboration between Mike Sebastian (tenor sax, saxello and baritone sax) and T. A. Zook (basscello). Although essentially a duo, when schedules permit, it is joined by Jerry Busher (drums); Doug Kallmeyer (bass and electronics); Sam Lohman (drums); Larry Gomez (percussion); Patrick Whitehead (flügelhorn and trumpet); Leah Gage (drums); and Emily Chimiak (violin).
The event starts at 8 pm and is no cover/no minimum!
On January 18, Lost Civilizations experimental music project co-founder T. A. Zook will perform as part of the first in a series of Directed Actions performances at the Capital Fringe’s Trinidad Theater. The evening starts at 7pm; tickets are $20.
