WAYWARD MUSIC SERIES
Chapel Performance Space at Good Shepherd Center
4th Floor, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N, Seattle 98103 (corner N 50th St. in Wallingford)

Every month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded presenters and artists offer ten concerts of adventurous music in an informal yet respectful all-ages setting: contemporary classical, free improvisation, the outer limits of jazz, electronic music, microtonal/new instruments, sound art, and other extraordinary sonic experiences.

Spill + Bad Luck
Thu. Sept. 15, 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

Spill is the Berlin-based duo of Magda Mayas on piano and clavinet and Tony Buck on drums/percussion, formed in 2003. Buck is one of Australia’s most adventurous exports and a member of the trio The Necks. Mayas plays the inside and exterior of the piano with preparations and objects to explore textural, fast moving sound collage. Bad Luck is the 10-year collaboration between Chris Icasiano on drums and Neil Welch on saxophone/electronics.

The Antenna Project
Sat. Sept. 16, 8 PM; $8 door (cash/card/NFC)

The first official installment of TAP 4.0: The Nyxology Sessions, a series of experimental open rehearsals where all are invited to explore the full range of their personal movement-based practices while The Antenna Project live-scores the entire experience. Part concert, part neo-dance jam, part sociocultural lab test, these evenings are designed as a hybrid experience for you to explore what The Antenna Project’s music inspires you to do.
