Every month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded presenters and artists offer ten concerts of adventurous music in an informal yet respectful all-ages setting: contemporary classical, free improvisation, the outer limits of jazz, electronic music, microtonal/new instruments, sound art, and other extraordinary sonic experiences.

Strategy + Timm Mason + Randy Jones
Fri. March 25; 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

Further Records presents their second show at Chapel with a focus on radio transmissions by Strategy, Timm Mason, and Randy Jones. Dispatch, shortwave and AM/FM radio channels will be manipulated, sampled and processed, using reel to reel tape, and user designed hardware into probability derived static ambience.

Tempered Steel + Driftwood Orchestra + Empty Boat
Sat. March 26; 7:30 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

Tempered Steel is a trio playing amplified, electronically processed thumb pianos. Driftwood Orchestra plays instruments made of trees, contact mics, and assorted attachments. Empty Boat is a quintet playing original compositions by group members influenced by contemporary jazz, world musics, new chamber music, and a healthy dose of improvisation.
