SOUND OF SILENT FILM: GAUDI
The Sound of Silent Film Festival features newly composed scores performed live to modern Silent films. Beginning in Chicago in 2005 it has since played to sold out audiences in Austin, TX and at Anthology Film Archives in Manhattan. This year’s festival features music by Lawrence Axelrod, Ryan Ingebritsen, Patricia Morehead, and L.J. White.

House of Waters brings its music to National Sawdust for the first time. Max ZT (hammered dulcimer) and Moto Fukushima (six-string electric bass) partner with drummer Richie Barshay (Herbie Hancock) perform a collection of all original music based on their studies in West Africa, India, and Japan.

Ryan Keberle is featured trombonist in the multi-GRAMMY-winning Maria Schneider Orchestra, Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society and Pedro Giraudo’s Ensemble. He has toured the world with Sufjan Stevens, and recorded with pop stars including David Bowie, Alicia Keys, David Byrne and St. Vincent.

His new album, Azul Infinito, is out now.
