On Saturday April 16th ,the 3rd Paris Ambient Festival will take place again this year in the crypt of the martyrium, the most mystic and the most secret of Paris (the head of the first bishop Denis was found here in 300 AD, and the company of Jesuit took birth also here ).
In this place full of history we will have the chance to welcome:
Onde Poussière : composed by Doedelzak (Synth) an Kecap Tuyul (tabletop prepared guitar).An experimental duet that deal with hypnotic minimills and controlled chaos. Think about an ambient version of Jim O’rourk , Taku Sugimoto or even Autechre.
Prats will unshed his electronic universe that is a mix of repetitive minimalism , ambient and electro-acoustic music. His main influences are Terry Riley, Klaus Schulze and Bernard Parmeggiani (synth, midi controller).
Archetype make deep listening music : he is the heir of Oöphoi, Alio Die, Mathias Grassow. He also plays some ethno-ambient music not unlike Dead Can Dance (Guitar , synth, voice , table harp).
Asmorod is a french artist , very discreet but also very influent in the dark ambient scene (Kammarheit acknowledge the influence of his album Hysope on him). (synth , keyboards). He’s also the fonder of the label Snowblood.
Ujjaya will headline this evening .The french ethno-ambient veteran will enchant the crypt with his suspended gamelan. He’s deeply influenced by Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Jon Hassell and Jorge Reyes.With his new found instrument Loren Nerell has become another point of reference.
