Spontaneous Combustion Trio, Lost Civilizations experimental music project, and Utenzil in DC

On February 21, 2016, the Spontaneous Combustion Trio will debut on a bill with the Lost Civilizations experimental music project and Utenzil in the Indie Adams Morgan series at the Black Squirrel’s Tap Room, which is located at 2427 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009 .

The Spontaneous Combustion Trio is comprised of Patrick Whitehead (flügelhorn and trumpet), Alison Weiner (keys) and John Kammon (guitar).  This will be its debut performance which will be improvised in its entirety.

The Lost Civilizations experimental music project (http://goo.gl/WfSs5) is a collaboration between Mike Sebastian (tenor sax, saxello and baritone saxophone) and T. A. Zook (basscello). Although essentially a duo, when schedules permit, it is joined by Jerry Busher (drums); Doug Kallmeyer (bass and electronics), Sam Lohman (drums); Larry Gomez (percussion); Patrick Whitehead (flügelhorn and trumpet) and Emily Chimiak (violin).   Its performance will also be improvised in its entirety.

Utenzil (http://www.utenzil.com/) is the solo project of Michael McMorris, which brings together fitful decades of musical experience/experiments plus software, laptops, mixer and instruments which include various controllers, a DIY double neck midi guitar, live guitar and voice.

This event is no cover/no minimum and all ages.

More information concerning the event and the performing musicians is posted at http://february-21-at-black-squirrel.tumblr.com/ .
