Source: SubCulture.

Pittsburgh’s premier new music series, Music on the Edge, presents its first New York show featuring a rare performance of Burr Van Nostrand’s sound-texture masterpiece, Fantasy Manual for Urban Survival. Van Nostrand’s music has attracted renewed interest in recent years and he has been called “a maestro of aleatory and graphic notation” by NewMusicBox. This piece will receive its New York premiere by the phenomenal Dave Eggar (cello), Lindsey Goodman (alto flute), and Eric Moe (prepared piano). Also featured on the program is Amy Williams’ First Lines, Eric Moe’s Let Me Tell U About R Specials, Roger Zahab’s deceived by starlight and a spunky twenty-eight, Lee Hyla’s One Moe Time (Waltz for Eric), and Mathew Rosenblum’s Northern Flicker, featuring the extraordinary Lisa Pegher (percussion), and Amy Williams (piano).
