Every month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded presenters and artists offer ten concerts of adventurous music in an informal yet respectful all-ages setting: contemporary classical, free improvisation, the outer limits of jazz, electronic music, microtonal/new instruments, sound art, and other extraordinary sonic experiences.

Steve Peters: Canções Profundas
Fri. September 25; 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

A new evening-length work by Seattle composer Steve Peters for field recordings and improvising musicians. Inspired by research into family history in the Azores, Canções Profundas (Deep Songs) explores themes of migration, diaspora, memory, identity and emotional/cultural ties to place. Lesli Dalaba (trumpet), Beth Fleenor (clarinets), Paul Kikuchi (percussion), Naomi Siegel (trombone), and Greg Sinibaldi (sax).
