It’s fairly common to see guitarists and other string players using their instruments as percussion, lightly tapping their fingers on the wooden frame to produce a particular sound. It’s more unusual to see a guitarist hit the instrument with mallets, as Marco Cappelli did during his performance at the Stone on Tuesday evening.
