Bargemusic (Friday through Sunday) When the concert calendar grows quiet across town you can count on this floating haven for chamber music to step in with an ambitious contemporary-music program that includes a slew of premieres. Among the composers represented are Dalit Warshaw, David Del Tredici, Morton Subotnick and John Zorn. The performers include stalwarts of the avant-garde, such as the pianist Kathleen Supové and the violinist Jennifer Choi. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 4 p.m., Fulton Ferry Landing, next to the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, 800-838-3006, bargemusic.org. (Corinna da Fonseca-Wollheim)

Annie Gosfield (Monday) Many composers mix acoustic and electronic sounds, but few shape it with as much verve and elegance as this composer. Here Ms. Gosfield invites a fine roster of new-music specialists to help celebrate her birthday. On the program are a work for cello and sampler inspired by whiskey and music for piano and electronics influenced by Hurricane Sandy. At 8 p.m., the Stone, Avenue C and Second Street, East Village, thestonenyc.com. (da Fonseca-Wollheim)
