Every month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded presenters and artists offer ten concerts of adventurous music in an informal yet respectful all-ages setting: contemporary classical, free improvisation, the outer limits of jazz, electronic music, microtonal/new instruments, sound art, and other extraordinary sonic experiences.

S. Eric Scribner: Sounds, Found
Fri. August 28, 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

Sounds, Found for pre-recorded found sound and found objects, explores similarities, differences, and connections between the concepts in the continuum of what are commonly called noise, sound, and music. The prerecorded parts and live playing are separate layers that only occasionally connect. Keith Eisenbrey will also perform his set of Twenty-Four Preludes for solo piano.

Vance Galloway & Charles Stanyon
Sat. August 29; 8 PM; $5 – $15 at the door

Vance Galloway and Charles Stanyon return with a compelling new collection of electronic works and electroacoustic improvisations for guitar, modular synthesizer, found Sound, and signal processors. Audience members are encouraged to experience the pieces from any location in the space, exploring the compelling acoustic properties of the venue.

SAT. 9/12 – Clifford Dunn (flute, piccolo, alto sax, electronics) & Dio Jean-Baptiste (drums)
