Boat Burning – Music for 70 Guitars, A Benefit for Music in DC Public Schools
On Saturday June 6th, BOAT BURNING: MUSIC FOR MASSED GUITARS brings over 70 electric guitars to SCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS at FRANCIS-STEVENS in support of music in D.C. public schools, with a once-in-a-lifetime array of musicians from D.C.’s vibrant music scene. All ticket proceeds will go to music programs at Ward 2’s School Without Walls campuses and Ward 8’s Randle Highlands Elementary School.

Fantastic Planet
The Fantastic Planet exhibit is a Collaborative Art & Music operation presented by Mensa Kondo and Jamal Gray. Based on the 1973 animation, “Le Planete Sauvage”, the art in the exhibition pulls directly from the films otherworldly themes. A sonic and visual experience, the artist’s featured in the exhibit were able to gain inspiration from the film, and implement it into their art.
