A composer, guitarist, and texturalist of national and international stature, Torn’s recordings and releases have included “Cloud About Mercury”, and “Presens”, and the films-scores “Friday Night Lights”, “Lars and the Real Girl”, and “The Order”. His guitar work has collaborated with the energies of Tim Berne, David Bowie, Jan Garbarek, Don Cherry, B.L.U.E. and others. Torn returned to recording in 2006, and just released his latest ECM release “Open Sky” this month.
