Composer/performer/producer Jeremy Harris, founder of Quest Coast Quarterly, explores the intersection of cyclical minimalist rhythms and extended classical harmonies in a series of partially composed, partially improvised songs and instrumental pieces. You’ll hear Harris singing and playing several instruments, accompanied by visual projections from collaborator Paul Clipson.

A collaboration between Peter Conheim of the sampling art collective Negativland and Jon Leidecker of Wobbly.
For tonight’s show, Peter and Jon will be joined by the human drummer Jordan Glenn, whose drumming will be converted to control voltage signals and used to vary and disrupt the Boopers’ output. Who will win?
Multi-disciplinary mixed-media and sound artist, Jorge Bachman, has been exploring the strange, unique and microcosmic sounds of everyday life since the early 80s.
Dereck Donohue’s signature psych-rhythmic strangeness pervades his projects and collaborations including Ozmadawn, Zovernment, and Darvaz.
Fslux focuses on manipulation of both every day sound and simple (lo-fi) instrumentation.

Pauline Oliveros, a leader in the musical avant-garde for five decades, returns to Berkeley to collaborate with like-minded local seekers Thingamajigs Performance Group. Together they will create a new piece of music during a week of workshops and open rehearsals, leading up to the premiere at this landmark L@TE event. Prepare to be transported by masterful improvisation, sonic meditation, and experiments in deep listening.
