Brooklyn Youth Chorus (Saturday) This admirable group presents its annual program devoted to contemporary music, “Soundscapes,” at Roulette in Brooklyn. The chorus gives its young participates a chance to work with commissioned composers, and for this concert the featured composer is Julianna Barwick, a Brooklynite. There will also be commissioned works by Nico Muhly, Caroline Shaw, Bryce Dessner and Missy Mazzoli. Counter)Induction (Saturday) This fiercely committed new-music ensemble presents a tribute to the American modernist master Mario Davidovsky on the occasion of his 80th birthday, with an emphasis on his acoustic vocal and instrumental chamber music. The guests include the soprano Mary Hubbell, the guitarist Daniel Lippel, the flutist Amanda Lukas and the bassist Douglas Balliett. Prism Quartet (Thursday) This adventurous saxophone quartet, which has commissioned numerous pieces for its unusual instrumentation, concludes a series that has featured new works by jazz saxophonists. On this night, the saxophonists Greg Osby and Dave Liebman will join the ensemble in the premieres of their new works.
