Joan La Barbara “Windows” // Bruce Gremo

Joan La Barbara layers her signature vocal techniques with natural & electronic sounds in “Windows”, inspired by the dreams & visions of Joseph Cornell. Bruce Gremo performs on his electronic flute controller, the Cilia, as well as the shakuhachi & glissando flute; with Hu Jianbing on Sheng.

Thomas Buckner with Bradyworks

Thomas Buckner joins Montreal-based ensemble Bradyworks, performing works by Australian composers Eric Griswold & John Encarnacao as well as Tim Brady & Annea Lockwood.

Christian Wolff at 80

This evening will feature Wolff’s “37 Haiku” for horn, oboe, viola, cello with guest baritone Thomas Buckner, as well as major works by Bernhard Lang, Petr Kotik and Alex Mincek. Co-sponsored by Interpretations, SEM, Ostrava Center for New Music and Czech Center.
