Tomorrow night, Wordless Music presents the first (and possibly last) NYC appearance in five years by Stars of the Lid, who will perform live alongside the strings of the Wordless Music Orchestra. Opening the show will be Brooklyn composer and Kranky labelmate Justin Walter. All-ages tickets are available here. Chris Wild, cellist of Chicago’s renowned Ensemble Dal Niente, will perform a concert on January 5, 2014 as a part of Constellation’s Frequency Series to celebrate the release of his debut solo album Abhanden. The music on the concert has been assembled to illustrate the high level of art and collaboration that arises from longstanding relationships between composers and performers. The album is due to be officially released on January 28.
