Tomorrow night, Wordless Music presents the first (and possibly last) NYC appearance in five years by Stars of the Lid, who will perform live alongside the strings of the Wordless Music Orchestra. Opening the show will be Brooklyn composer and Kranky labelmate Justin Walter. All-ages tickets are available here. This concert will be professionally recorded and archived online after the show, courtesy of our friends at Q2 Music.

Newsbits: New Paul Lansky Release / Chris Wild Chicago Performance and Release / Nashville Circuit Bender’s Ball

From Bridge Records, a new Paul Lansky release, Notes to Self, is now out.

Chris Wild, cellist of Chicago’s renowned Ensemble Dal Niente, will perform a concert on January 5, 2014 as a part of Constellation’s Frequency Series to celebrate the release of his debut solo album Abhanden. The music on the concert has been assembled to illustrate the high level of art and collaboration that arises from longstanding relationships between composers and performers. The album is due to be officially released on January 28.

The Nashville Circuit Bender’s Ball will take place April 12.
