A transatlantic adventure in creative music and trance experiences
Joshua Abrams, Jason Adasiewicz, Avreeayl Ra & Aymeric Avice, Benjamin Sanz

The Bridge is proud to present the second ensemble borne out of its network of creative musicians from France and Chicago dedicated to presenting original transatlantic ensembles of musicians who have to desire to explore a new creative directions. The Bridge #2 is a daring and atypical ensemble that brings together Chicago-based musicians Joshua Abrams (bass, guimbri), Jason Adasiewicz (vibraphone), and Avreeayl Ra (drums, percussion), and French musicians Aymeric Avice (trumpet, flugelhorn) and Benjamin Sanz (drums, percussion) in a musical adventure set to explore and bend the relationship between jazz and “trance” experiences, through improvisation (and repetition). November 1st through 15, the ensemble will perform in a variety of venues and contexts across Chicago, ranging from concerts at The Umbrella Music Festival, Woodland Pattern in Milwaukee, WI, and DePaul University; live film scoring at The Chicago French Alliance, workshops and master classes at Roosevelt University and DePaul University.
