He has opened for Larry Tee, Nitzer Ebb, Light Asylum, Test Department, Skin Town (Nick Turko of Zola Jesus), Meat Beat Manifesto, and The Legendary Pink Dots to name a few. He has remixed many artists including Tamara Sky (DJ/Model Lil Death LA) and ∆AIMON (Tundra/Artoffact).From the early ‘90s Columbus, Ohio electronic music scene, when Mike was a member of Body Release with Titonton Duvante (Residual Records), Todd Sines (Frankie, Planet E, Peacefrog, YORE, Seventh City), and Charles Noel (aka ARCHETYPE, ARCH_TYP…21/22 Corp, Bag Pak), through the mid ’90s early 2000’s with his band Bath, to his current endeavors, he has always pushed the envelope with his compositions, visual artwork, text collages, and genre-blasting DJ sets.
Jeff Chenault (aka Central Inhabitants) has been involved in the Columbus electronic music scene since 1983. His early experiments were unannounced noise improvisations. In the late 80′s, he founded the Exoteque Music label and would release over 60 cassettes of original music. His multiple collaborations include James Towning of Fact 22, Mark Gunderson of the Evolution Control Committee, Andy Izold of 10-Speed Guillotine, and Chris Phinney of Mental Anguish. In 1989 he formed the influential cyberpunk band 10-Speed Guillotine with Andy Izold. They would go on to record a plethora of recordings under various names and styles over a 20 year period. In 1994 Jeff formed the Weird Lovemakers with Mark Gunderson and Greg Fernandez. Their musical style ranged from electronic lounge to film soundtracks. They performed “live” soundtracks for such movies as Nosferatu, Leaves from Satan’s Book, and most notably Maya Deren’s surrealist film Meshes of the Afternoon, performed at the Wexner Center for the Arts. Jeff’s current projects include Circuitry Room, with Andy Izold and longtime friend and collaborator Dan Rockwell as well as collaborations with John M Bennett, Mike Shiflet, Hal McGee, Virani, Squid and others.. Jeff’s solo project Central Inhabitants will make a rare “live” appearance. Dark ambient soundscapes, hypnotic rhythms and psychedelic jungle sounds are his current fetish.
Becky Grajeda works primarily with sound in the forms of field recording, sound assemblage and multi-channel installation and live performance. Of particular interest to her are the sounds of machinations, moving bodies, and vocal inflection and intonation in speech. She also is a sound designer for theatre. Jessica Speer is a small hermit crab living at the bottom of the sea.
