Fresh off their successful Kickstarter campaign and recording session in which they managed to reimagine 26 of Steve Lacy‘s iconic compositions, Ideal Bread is preparing to play a series of shows on the East Coast this Fall. During these shows, they’ll be playing pieces from their new book of tunes, “Beating the Teens.” This book is a departure from their typical approach of faithful adaptation and represents a series of “recompositions” of Lacy’s music.
