From New York’s ISSUE Project Room:

Toshiya Tsunoda
Friday, August 9th – 8pm
$15 / $12 members + students
Yokohama based artist and composer Toshiya Tsunoda has produced innovative works of field recording and collage for 15 years, carefully concentrating the lyrical power of the world we inhabit. Tonight Tsunoda comes to ISSUE to present two live solo sets— first, a performance reframing his field recording materials, followed by a work for laptop, vibration-plates, and sine waves. Preceding the performances, Tsunoda premieres a new set of two short films, microscopic observations of nature in detail, seated in an exploration of light and color. Tsunoda’s work is on view at MoMA now as part of “Soundings: A Contemporary Score”.

Wolf Eyes / The Men / Amen Dunes / PC Worship
Saturday, August 24th, 3- 8pm
at Pioneer Works, 159 Pioneer St, Brooklyn

ISSUE and Pioneer Works’ collaboration continues with an all-day indoor/outdoor party of frenzied electronic, post-punk noise, and lo-fi experimental rock in Red Hook. Michigan noise legends Wolf Eyes headline, joined by Brooklyn four-piece The Men, Damon McMahon’s droning, phsychedelic solo outfit Amen Dunes, and “noise rock titans” PC Worship.
