International Contemporary Ensemble at Mostly Mozart Reviewed

This year’s festival has taken birdsong as a kind of minitheme, and the main avian offering was a series of four concerts by the International Contemporary Ensemble. The series explored the uses of birdcalls in music from the 20th and 21st centuries, anchored by the work of Messiaen, the king of birdsong.
