Newsbits: Argue / Douglas / FIMAV / Spooky

AMN favorite Darcy Jame Argue has launched a Kickstarter project to fund his next album. The project began three days ago with the goal of raising $10,000. So far, $6,500 has been pledged. If you like Argue and his Secret Society (AMN’s top album of 2009) please contribute. It is easy, fast, for a good cause, not to mention tax deductible and you’ll get a copy of the eventual release.

A free jazz event will take place in Miami on May 23.

Dave Douglas‘s May 20th show in Prague is previewed.

The ongoing FIMAV shows are previewed.

A 55-minute long concert featuring DJ Spooky, Matthew Shipp and William Parker is available.
