Courtesy of Dave Mann’s “DC Booking”, the Lost Civilizations experimental music project (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/lostcivilizations) has a “Third Tuesdays” residency at Dynasty Restaurant, 2210 14th Street, N.W. At the April 17 residency, the Lost Civilizations experimental music project will feature Tag Cloud. Tag Cloud Is the solo drone project of Chris Videll. It started in 2009 as a series of experiments with field recordings and has come to include analog electronics, fx, cheap keyboards, metal percussion, shruti box, objects, etc. Best described at this point as “electroacoustic sound sculpture and carpets of drone”. The debut album “Named Entities”, a collection of home recordings from the past couple of years, was recently released on Zeromoon. Look for an upcoming collaboration with BLK w/Bear later this year for the Long Division with Remainders remix series “Collision/Detection”.
