AUM Fidelity To Celebrate 15th Anniversary In Montreal + NYC June 8-12th

This June, AUM Fidelity will celebrate its 15th anniversary in collaboration with two major improvised music festivals, Suoni Per Il Popolo in Montreal and Vision Festival in New York. Festivities will begin Friday, June 8th with the North American premiere of bassist/composer William Parker’s new large ensemble project, Essence of Ellington, at Montreal’s La Sala Rossa, which will also present Parker’s Quartet and Raining On The Moon Sextet on Saturday night. The three-night Canadian celebration concludes on Sunday with two sets by the Darius Jones Quartet at Casa del Popolo. The party moves to Roulette in Brooklyn on Tuesday, June 12th when the Vision Festival will host its first-ever night of music dedicated to a record label, featuring performances by the Darius Jones Quartet, David S. Ware’s Planetary Unknown and William Parker’s In Order To Survive.
