Mopomoso – the best in free improvisation
Franco / Spanish duo ‘Relentless’ – saxophonists Sebastien Branche and Artur Vidal – explore a world of sound art, employing video, dance and other media.
Chris Burn / Matthew Hutchinson
One of the outstanding long term duos to be found in free improvisation today, the music of Burn (trumpet) and Hutchinson (piano) is a measured and precise discipline, displaying a developed attention to detail and a grasp of narrative structures. Big on both musicality and musicianship the duo is always a delight.
A rare solo performance from the wonderful vocalist Kay Grant, whose work is informed by a range of styles, tones and colours, and a consideration of the voice as an instrumental component rather than primary expressive vehicle.
Satoko Fukuda / John Russell
Satoko Fukuda (violin) and John Russell (guitar) have been playing together as a duo for a number of years now and Satoko has also played a key role in many of Russell’s larger Quaqua groups.
