Polish-French composer and electric bass player Kasper Toeplitz teams with dancer and choreographer Myriam Gourfink to create an evening of movement and sound. The movement is based on internal visualizations and the sound moves between pitch, noise, oscillations and stillness. Toeplitz has collaborated with Zbigniew Karkowski, Dror Feiler, Art Zoyd, Éliane Radigue, Phill Niblock and Ulrich Krieger.

Bassist Mark Dresser, “hyperpianist” Denman Maroney and flautist Matthias Ziegler form the Mark Dresser Trio. The trio uses unconventional amplification and extended techniques to explore sonic possibilities. Mark Dresser’s most notable collaborators have been Tim Berne, Anthony Braxton and John Zorn. In The New Yorker, Dresser’s musical style was referred to as “slanted…the jazz tradition is only so much grist for the mill.”
