Ne(x)tworks continues their 2010-2011 season in their new home,
Greenwich House Music School,
with one of John Cage’s most ambitious and influential pieces:
Song Books, composed and assembled from
August through October of 1970.

Ne(x)tworks is an ensemble of “new music all-stars” (TONY) devoted to the expanding threads of the experimental music tradition, performing music in which the dialog between performance and composition goes beyond interpretation, stopping just short of pure improvisation.

Ne(x)tworks is:
Kenji Bunch, viola; Shelley Burgon, harp & electronics; Yves Dharamraj, cello; Cornelius Dufallo, violin; Miguel Frasconi: glass & electronics; Stephen Gosling: piano; Ariana Kim, violin; Joan La Barbara: voice; Christopher McIntyre, trombone; with guest Peter Zummo, trombone.
