No doubt some in the audience were drawn by the specific program, which intriguingly paired a new work by Magnus Lindberg, the Philharmonic’s composer in residence, written in homage to his influential teacher, the French composer Gérard Grisey, with a major score by Grisey, who died of a stroke at 52 in 1998.
